Lego 1 is a beginner level in robotics classes at Hyde Park Middle School. In this program, students learn the basics of hardware and software, learning how to build a robot to perform a dance and how to program it to perform those actions. Our advisor and event coordinator, Mr. Edward Patricks, organizes challenges, such as Boogie Bot or Battle Bots, where teams compete against one another and strive hard to simultaneously learn and earn first-hand experience with these pieces of technology. This program utalizse the Lego Mindstorms NXT kits for all projects.
